It's the ultimate snacking conundrum: savory or sweet? If that's a dilemma you're faced with often, you're going to love the recipe from the latest episode of Alt-Baking Bootcamp—because it doesn't make you choose.

Not quite a dessert because its fiber content gives it a low glycemic index, this dark chocolate popcorn bark hits all the flavor highlights you could want in a snack, and requires super minimal hands-on time. "I love this recipe because it's the perfect balance between salty and sweet—with salty, crunchy popcorn paired with sweetness from dried cranberries and vegan marshmallows, all coated in chocolate," says nutrition coach and trained chef Mia Rigden.

The Goldilocks-esque recipe also happens to be gluten-free, low-sugar, vegan (but if you only have non-vegan marshmallows on-hand, those work perfectly fine, too), and it contains gut-boosting fiber, thanks to the popcorn.

Speaking of popcorn, Rigden (who says it's one of her favorite snacks since it's a whole grain and naturally gluten-free) pulled together this recipe using three cups of SMARTFOOD® SMART 50® Sea Salt Popcorn, which is only 50 calories per cup or less. Pro tip: While you'll want to use the sea salt flavor for the recipe, crack open a bag of SMARTFOOD® SMART 50® White Cheddar Popcorn to nosh on while you're waiting for the bark to harden.

Back to the flavor-packed recipe at hand, there's just a few steps that go into making the dark chocolate popcorn bark (mainly melting the chocolate and mixing all the deliciousness together). But for the step-by-step, you'll have to watch the video.
