The Justin Bieber-Backed Boxing Gym That’s Expanding in a Major Way

Put up your dukes, Upper East Siders.
Hey Upper East Siders—are you ready to rumble? And, more specifically, are you ready to rumble with Justin Bieber and Sylvester Stallone?

While there's certainly no guarantee the boxing-loving bros will be in your next class, there's a slight chance of it happening, now that Rumble—the gym backed by both the Biebs and Rocky—is coming to the UES.

Rumble is in the midst of a major expansion: In addition to its current (and sole) location in Chelsea, the brand also has a studio in the works in NoHo and announced its Upper East Side plans this week.

"We will have a double studio, massive retail section, and a few surprise amenities in the works that will definitely excite the UES crowd."

"We go where the people want us," founding partner and trainer Noah Neiman says. "We had overwhelming requests for a location on the Upper East Side. And anytime there's a need, we want to fill it." The five-floor space will feature multiple studios and a roof deck. It's expected to open later this year on 84th Street and Third Avenue.

When it does, the newest Rumble will be right in the heart of a wellness-fueled block. Its new neighbors include Equinox, Y7, SoulCycle, and Exceed, plus Juice Generation, Juice Press, Pressed Juicery, Hu Kitchen, and, a few blocks north, Whole Foods. (Two-a-days followed by a smoothie and the WF hot bar, anyone?)

Neiman isn't yet sharing what exactly boxing fans can expect from the multi-level space, but he promises it'll be as "high energy" as Rumble devotees have grown to love. "Expect clean, large common areas and locker rooms, amazing artwork, and the same dope, energetic workouts," Neiman says. "We will have a double studio, massive retail section, and a few surprise amenities in the works that will definitely excite the UES crowd."

Fingers—er, boxing gloves—crossed it involves a Bieber-soundtracked rooftop party.

Stallone and Bieber aren't the only celebs getting in on the boxing trend. Supermodel sibs Bella and Gigi Hadid love throwing punches (not at each other), and here's why so many models are getting in the ring
